Parliamentary Papers "Abstract and Answers and Returns for the Act for the Census 55th year of the late George 111, England and Wales Enumeration. Monday 28th May, 1821. The whole of the Township of Newbiggin, p.399.
In 1821, the Township of Newbiggin contained 128 inhabitants, of whom 61 were male and 67 were female. There were 26 houses, of which all were occupied. The main occupation was in Agriculture 20 families, there were 7 families in Trades etc. there were no families in Other occupations.
