188. Here lies the body of Thomas COATES of Warnford Court, London who died September 5 1819 aged 25. The death of this young man in the prime of life may serve as an awful warning to the living. He came to see his relatives at Thoralby and took a fever which in a few days terminated his earthly career and blighted his bright prospects, he was respected by his friends and his death lamented. In kind regards to his memory his uncles J & R WILLIS have caused this stone to be erected
